Tell others about Jesus like Hannah Hurnard did: Though we are not all called to the ministry of Christian Writer, we are all called by God to share our faith (witness) with those who are not Christians. Author: John Bunyan The most well-known allegory ever written, this journey of the protagonist, Christian, is simultaneously filled with vivid and full human portraits of its characters. “most perfect and complex of fairy tales” With over 100,000 copies sold in Bunyan’s lifetime, this “most perfect and complex of fairy tales” succeeded in attracting audiences from every Christian sect. Pilgrim's Progress is a wonderful book about a man named Christian. In the beginning, we find that Christian has a heavy burden on his back that he can't get rid of. He tries to take it off himself but he can't. He then meets a man named Evangelist. Evangelist tells him that the only way to get rid of this burden on his back is to go to the Celestial City. ...he keeps going and doesn't give up. Christian leaves his friends
and family back in the City of Destruction and makes the long and
treacherous journey to the Celestial City. He goes through many
different obstacles and trials that get in his way on the way to the
Celestial City. Although it takes him a long time to get there, he
keeps going and doesn't give up. This is an excellent book and I would encourage anyone to read it. Christian is also an encouragement to me. He went through so many struggles and trials but kept going through it all. It makes me want to persevere and keep going, even though my walk with Christ may be difficult at times.
