Greetings;
My wife and I have read over your material and talked about the
possibility of joining you for some time now. We have recognized
that one of the major weaknesses in our spiritual lives was in the area
of prayer.
I have heard the Christian life described as a tripod, or a three-legged
stool, in which the legs are The
Bible, fellowship, and prayer.
Although we have had great opportunities for increasing our knowledge of
the Scriptures over the years, and the area of fellowship has had it's
ups and downs, our prayer life has stayed problematic.
Your structured "Praying
The Hours" system may be just what the Doctor (aka: God)
ordered for us. Also, your focus on Celtic
Christianity is exactly what we have been trying to follow for
the last few years. So, last Friday, 01 December, 2006, we began
praying the hours, as well as going through the first step of the "Growing
In Christ" series. We have enjoyed it, and we are
looking forward to following up on the "Movie
Night" idea as well.
We would be pleased to be included in your number as Knights
of Prayer...God bless The Prayer Foundation ™, and
you all individually.
Dei Gratia (By the Grace of God),
Bradford & Cheryl L. (Washington
State)

Very excellent, well informed
site, most spirit filled and best site I have actually ever gone to.
In a few weeks I'd really like to become more involved and become part
of the Knights of Prayer
Order. I feel that currently in my life God has brought me to your
Order; it is everything that I have been looking for. I'm an
Irish/American who is a veteran and have been a Chaplain of veteran's
organizations for many years now.
My father was Catholic
and my Mother was Baptist so
she raised us Baptist until I got out on my own and went to the happy
medium route and became Episcopalian. For many years I also
was part of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew and served as a
Eucharistic Minister assisting the Priest at mass as well as serving as
Youth Minister for the High School group. A very strong calling to
the monastic life has been mine for many years.
Currently and for the past 18 years I have served as an officer with
Kansas Department of Corrections which offers so many opportunities to
witness which I take every chance I get. It is so incredible that
you are here. At this point in my life your Order is like a
Godsend; I feel called that God has led me here. In the next
couple weeks to come I'll be getting back in touch. I really enjoy
daily going to the website and reading and going over everything again.
Thank You and God Bless,
Thom (Kansas)

In my research I came across your website and have found it very
informative.

Peace Brothers and Sisters,
Please subscribe me to your
newsletter! We have so much in common! I felt called
to begin a Franciscan
community here in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Here in
Canada, we have one priest in Nova Scotia,
and myself here in Ontario, which as pastor supports the Franciscan
Lutheran
Community. I am the founder of the Order of St. Francis -
Lutheran. I am also Celtic
in roots. We have much in common.
We are an order of Chaplains, one of our Brother and
Sister married couples in our order is in the process of beginning a country retreat in
northern Ontario. Just this October, our chapel was consecrated
and I was finally professed into the Order of St. Francis - Lutheran
and was installed Father Superior of
Canada.
I am most interested in the Celtic
Monks! And, Celtic
Christian Music as a musician. I think it would be a great idea if we could begin to learn of each
other, and share in our
like-mindedness.
Peace and all good,
Rev. Fr. Larry J. Goodnough OSF-L
Franciscan Lutheran Community (St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada)
